Q: First of all, I don't even think that they use REAL cheese...it's that processed lard stuff, right? Second, even if they do/did use real cheese, are they saving that much money by putting 6 shreds as opposed to 30? Third, is worth telling them when ordering "I'd like more than 6 shreds of cheese please?" They are either going to: a.) Charge for extra cheese. b.) Cop an attitude. c.) Put something 'extra' in my taco (if you know what I mean!) d.) All of the above.

A: 79/89/99 cent menus don't bring a lot of 'queso'. don't ask for 'extras'... a fast food restaurant in nebraska recently was busted with providing 'special portions' for law enforcement officials... (if you know what i mean!) http://www.kutv.com/content/news/topnews/story.aspx?content_id=09a81634-a42f-46be-9b7b-2ccebb6b3219 extra cheese will likely bring an extra charge, and an extra wait as the staff discuss how much extra to give/how much more to charge. you could bring your own ziploc baggie of shredded cheddar and politely ask them to add it to your food before they microwave it - naah. personally taco hell (as the wife calls it) is not on my short list of favorites, having eaten there last night and been sick all morning today. best advice? head for the border... (DONG!) ... or make your own.
