A: I live in Alabama and my favorite place to eat is Romano's Macaroni Grill. Its a nice Italian restaurant chain. They bring a loaf of fresh bread to the table and everyone gets a dish of olive oil and then they add fresh ground pepper to it to you liking. You dip the bread into the olive oil, just like a genuine Italian restaurant. Its an open kitchen and you can see the chefs cooking your food in the white jacket and chef hat. You can get flavored ice teas, like blackberry tea. After your meal there is a fancy dispenser of mouthwash and a tiny plastic cup to freshen up after all that garlic in the Italian food. Dreamland is a famous barbecue restaurant in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. It has strong ties to Alabama football. The Whistle Stop Cafe in Birmingham is a famous Alabama restaurant because the movie "Fried Green Tomatoes" was based on it. Another famous Alabama restaurant is called Lamberts. It is in Foley and is nicknamed the "home of the thrown roll" because when you want a roll the waiters toss them across the restaurant to you. It is fun to try to catch them.
