Q: I am so sick of work but I need the money and its hard to fin another job but I am so sick of waiting tables!? Anyone else feel this way?
A: Dear Isabel, Yes, I worked 14 years as a waiter in a "customer is always right" hotel chain. Anytime anything went wrong of course, the waiters got blamed even if all they were doing was adhering to the "management"s" directives and the managers then would blame the waters etc. . . . but the money was fast and stable. I worked two jobs and at one point three and finally got into my field. I'd say don't quit but struggle as needed to find something you like. Then gradually do what you can to shift away from waiting tables as you make your career more stable. Try hard not to burn bridges though. Good luck.
