Q: We went to a restaurant and wanted to drink water with our dinner. We were told they do not serve water, we were offered bottled water which we had to pay for I should have added that I live in Brooklyn, NY. I have never been to a restaurant that doesn't give you water and a menu.
A: yes its illegal for the rest. to refuse to serve a customer water on request but they may charge for it
