Q: The word "customer" doesn't sound all that great, can you use another word? "client" is a little too fancy and doesn't really fit with "restaurant" ? client is more like a brokerage, and customer is more like a dress shop or department store ?
A: I worked at a restaurant and we were always told to refer to them as guests.
