Why are tables in restaurants usually wobbly?

Q: Fast-food or classy. Are they supposed to be? Joe Bob Briggs says that in a serious drinking-place your drink should wobble, but I'm talking eating-place. Is it a major hassle or expense for them to keep the tables stable? Yeh, have your fun at home. Hi Susan, cute avatar!

A: Most of the tables are old and have lost a foot pad or two. It's better to get carry-out and eat at home anyway. You can have your own drink and take off your shoes while eating.
