what do food critics look for in a good restaurant?

Q: I'm doing a speech on Noodles & Company, so links to resources would be nice too, anyone with experience at something like a McDonalds could also give me some feed back on the food quality and various other things you feel are important, if that's the case give me info so i can properly credit you in my bibliography, thanks everyone!!

A: Food critics don't like their asses kissed, and it's not all about ego. A good food critic will want to remain anonymous so they can get a good idea of the food. Overall experience, variety of the menu, knowledgeable staff, presentation of food, taste of food, cleanliness, and how that restaurant compares to other similar restaurants.
