Q: I work as a waitress at Golden Corral and was wondering how many people realize that we only make 2.13 an hour? We rely on how tips to live of of. If you tip how much do you leave? It's always nice to leave to get a least a 1 dollar per person.Believe me you really do not realize how hard we do work. Wow you all are so nice this is gonna be hard to choose the best asnwer! Heres somethng to thnk about,when you go to a regular resturant you only have a salad dish and 1 plate each,sure they bring the food but at golden corral you can have all you want think about all those plates we have to lug back to the kitchen! Anyway you have all answered this question so well now I have to pick the best!
A: I so understand how much you work..I worked at a buffet called Barnhill's in Jax, FL and you bust your *** the whole time. I got a party of like 2 adults and 8 kids once...made a huge mess and left me a couple penny's..OMG I was cussing the rest of the night. Yeah I say atleast a dollar a person unless you are there for 2 hours and got special orders or requsted a lot then $2 a person. I think everyone should have to work in the food industry once in their lives just to see how it feels, then people would get tipped better and paid more respect too. Its like that movie, Waiting....he get's a lousy tip and tells the guy to keep it, he obviously needs it more..haha Oh man, thats a good movie for every one to watch, then they wont be so rude to people they dont even know that is handling their food.
