Q: We're going out to stay at the Westin Kierland in Scottsdale and are looking for some great tex mex while we're out there. Any suggestions? All other nearby restaurant suggestions are welcome as well!! Thanks!
A: There's a Z'Tejas in Scottsdale but I couldn't get Mapquest to give me the street number I requested as your starting point so think it's not quite as far as shown on map ... it's the Z'Tejas Grill you want to go to. I've not been to the Resort Spa you're staying at but have "heard" their food is very good - the Westins, usually, have good dining rooms. Read a review on Le Peep and assume it's the same chain as where I live - the NY Times gave the one in Scottsdale an excellent review. Can't imagine the NY Times reviewing a place I consider Casual Lunch but ... (?) - anyway, they do have good food. See link I've had bookmarked for a few years - never checked back pages so they may serve dinner.
